Spiritual Economics - To invest in Hari Sewa

We have to invest in the Lord for happiness. This is the first and forgotten economics of life. Yet we do wrongly invest in objects, in properties, in assets, hoping interest will accrue in the heart. Matter pays dividends only in anxiety. The Lord alone is the reservoir of bliss, the inexhaustible treasury from which joy is withdrawn without loss. Disconnected from Him is nirānanda, a polished emptiness where pleasure flickers and fades.

True wealth is not what appreciates in markets but what deepens in meaning. The Lord is wealth for eternity, untouched by inflation, theft, or time. Every other possession eventually possesses us, demanding maintenance, fear, and defense. Devotional service reverses this burden. It lightens the soul.

To invest in His relationship through devotional service is to place capital where returns are certain. Each act of service compounds into peace, clarity, and love. The heart becomes solvent. Life turns profitable in the truest sense.

Vishnu Sahasranama verse 60, Bhagavaan Bhagaha Nandi (Gaudiya interpretation)

Verse 60: Bhagavān Bhagahā Nandī Vanamālī Halāyudhaḥ Ādityo Jyotirādityaḥ Sahiṣṇur Gatisattamaḥ ||60|| He is Bhagavān —the possessor of all opulences, and Bhagahā —the one who can withdraw them at will. Though all divine qualities and powers ( vibhūtis ) emanate from Him, He retains the freedom to reclaim them, especially at the time of pralaya or cosmic dissolution. By His inherent nature, He is Ānandī —always blissful, because He is full of bhaga , the six-fold opulences. This bhaga is intrinsic to Him and never diminishes; instead, it constantly flows back into Him, signifying no loss whatsoever. He is Nandī because He is in a perpetual state of bliss, and to access this bliss, one must associate with and serve the Ānandī —the ever-blissful Lord. This bliss is maintained by constantly remaining in service ( sewa ) to the son of Nandagopa—Śrī Krishna. Association of the Supreme Personality

  Bhagavad Gita 5.24 yo’ntaḥ-sukho’ntar-ārāmas tathāntar-jyotir eva yaḥ sa yogī brahma-nirvāṇaṁ brahma-bhūto’dhigacchati Translation: "He who finds happiness within, who rejoices within, and who is illumined by the inner light, that yogi attains the bliss of Brahman, becoming one with Brahman." This verse reflects the state of inner fulfillment ( antaḥ-sukha ), absence of external craving, and pure completeness in divine association, resonating with the poem’s essence. The Supreme Personality’s presence doth amaze, Īśvara’s company fills the heart with blissful cheer, A soul in His divine embrace finds pūrṇa days, No want, no void, just joy doth persevere. The ignorant alone shun this sukha’s gaze, For in His light, no dāha burns severe, Fear, thirst, and hunger’s pangs, all tṛṣṇā , fade, Pure wholeness reigns, lament finds no career.
