Aavaranatmika sakti......covering energy
The aatma ‘real self’ is blocked from experiencing itself.
The material energy ‘maya’ has two functions – one is called aavaranatmika
sakti and the other is called ‘Praksepatmika’ sakti. The aavarantmika sakti
covers the real self, its pure identity and also its nature of anandamaya.
Intoxication is a result of covering of the always ever blissful self. Our true
nature is to taste bliss every moment ‘Prati Padam Purnamrta svadanam’. When
this nature is covered by ‘avaranatmika’ sakti, we start hankering because the
experience of anandam is stopped. And then due to ignorance without clue to
what is happening, the self covered by the apparent self tries to achieve
constant bliss thru material means which leads to various forms……..intoxication
of various types is the result – paan, Jarda, smoke, alcohol etc…..Some people
gratify the subtle body to sustain constant bliss….but this becomes very
strenuous and also causes pain in the long run, health issues etc….You see
animals like cow always chewing, grazing – thry try to sustain constant bliss
thru eating. The happiness derived from gratifying the apparent self is a
minute fraction of the happiness of the true self. To solve this happiness
mystery, uncovering the true self is the only solution.
The
intoxication industry is thriving on this malfunction. The pure self when
covered by material energy loses contact with its blissful nature and searches
for happiness in objects of matter. It develops a hankering unsatisfied with
what is on offer in material world. Nothing matches with happiness of its
original nature. The soul continuously compares the happiness experience with
the experience of the true self and becomes dissatisfied. With no solution the
hankering increases and the sould gets burning experience ‘samsara visa nele
diva nisi hiya jwale’………..The confidential knowledge about the pure self is
distributed like rain from the spiritual world. Agents of spiritual world roam
around to distribute this in the form of sound. When one embraces this sound
with deep transcendental faith and hopelessness, one starts feeling relief. He
starts to get a taste of existential bliss ‘Sat’. Progressing ahead he starts
relishing an upgraded bliss ‘Chit’ ananda…….the ananda of always hearing about
the Viryavan activities of the Supreme self ‘Satam prasanga mama veerya
samvido’………….the drinking of ‘Chit’ ananda acts like ambrosia and cultivates
the spiritual body of the pure self with expansive spiritual sense
organs………….the person is ready to act with the supreme self in alignment in
love……..then action starts in relation to supreme self, one relishes ‘ananda’
ananda…..the bliss of divine service to Supreme…….this ananda is build on
foundation of ‘Sat’ and ‘Chit’ ananda. It’s a triple bonus.
One
should not ignore the gross platform spiritualization. This helps one to come
in contact with ‘Sat’ ananda faster. This involves decorating the body with
tilaka with names of Visnu at 12 parts. Wearing Tulasi neck beads, Brahmin
thread, dressing as a transcendentalist etc…. ……..(certain colors enhance connect
with the soul existence). We use the pancabhutas for ‘Bhuta’ Suddhi. Water with
Tulasi is used for acaman and sprinkling on the body. Incense is burnt to
purify the nasikendriya and also nice perfume flowers are offered and smelt.
Gross purification involves sparsa, gandha, rasa. Sabda and Roopa falls in the
category of ‘Subtle’ Bhuta Suddhi. Subtle Bhuta suddhi has higher importance,
gross bhuta suddhi ofcourse enhances and assists the subtle bhuta suddhi. One
has to be in touch with transcendental sound always….or one has to take a diet
of transcendental sound on regular basis. Sabda and Rasa are the fastest
contaminators because both go inside and stay, vibrate for a long time. The
food stays for a very long time because
the energy that is produced from food stays as vibration, many cells are formed
due to digested food. Sound can imprint the consciousness, hence contamination
thru sound is harder to remove. ‘VIsayira anna khaya, mana malina hoiya’ – One
should not take food at the place or from a visayi. ‘Mayavada Bhasya sunila,
Sarva naasa hoiya’ – At the same time hearning sounds from a person
contaminated by mayavada philosophy is equally dangerous. When one wears
tilaka, performs acaman, honors mahaprasadam……gross purification is complete
and on top of this he takes a diet of ‘Sabda’ from lips of pure devotee, one
raises to ‘Chit’ ananda..
