Dukhalayam, random thoughts on the universal soul
A strange world and a very strange life. The anxiety for survival, missed opportunities etc....celebrities are few but major percentage struggle in day to day life. But celebrities struggle in opulence, that is actually even worse. The eyes of knowledge has to be open to perceive that. This is because Gita has certified the world to be dukhalayam which means house of miseries no matter what the state of existence. There is misery of surplus in the rich and there is misery of scarcity in the poor. Can anything be done for this? I means does solutions exist to solve the basic unacceptability of quality of life on the planet. Being pessimistic on life on earth is sign of spiritual progress. But pessimism is because of lack of proper world view.
World view and faith in world view is very important. Because the world reacts as per ones world view. The best world view to have is that the world is governed by Sri Krishna and there is always compassionate hand of him in all our experiences. The following 2 slokas are very important for consideration
bhoktaram yajna-tapasam
sarva-loka-mahesvaram
suhrdam sarva-bhutanam
jnatva mam santim rcchati
Chapter 5.29
The sages, knowing Me as the ultimate purpose of all sacrifices and austerities, the Supreme Lord of all planets and demigods and the benefactor and well-wisher of all living entities, attain peace from the pangs of material miseries.
mayadhyaksena prakrtih
suyate sa-caracaram
hetunanena kaunteya
jagad viparivartate
Chapter 9.10
This material nature is working under My direction, O son of Kunti, and it is producing all moving and unmoving beings. By its rule this manifestation is created and annihilated again and again.
Also the proper vision and mind is described in Vishnu Sahasranama. When you glorify vishnu as 'Mahamanaaya namah' then we develop broad all encompassing thought(mana). A large broad mind, a brahminical mind opposite of the krpana mind which is miserly mind. Another similar name to glorify Lord Vishnu is 'mahakshaya namah' which means broad vision, a broad eye(aksha). An eye which sees the whole reality, the all encompasing reality. This leads to respect and universal brotherhood.
