Damodarastakam

 Verse 6

namo deva dāmodarānanta viṣṇo
prasīda prabho duḥkha-jālābdhi-magnam
kṛpā-dṛṣṭi-vṛṣṭyāti-dīnam batānu
gṛhāṇeṣa mām ajñam edhy akṣi-dṛśyaḥ

The above verse has -> Humility, prayer, Nama sankirtana, prayojana
Seeing from the perspective of Sambandha, Abhideya and Prayojana:
Sambandha Jnana - we are all part of ananta, since meaning of ananta means everything is included and nothing in the cosmos can be outside
All inclusiveness with perfect awareness is Vishnu. To this when we add Prabhu and isa, it becomes a perfect definition of God and belonging to him
Abhideya - Namah, dinam, ajna
Prayojana - akshi drsyah

Humility is manifested when one declares complete lack of knowledge before the Lord (mam ajnam) and also complete helplessness(dinam bata) being struck in the ocean of miseries (dukha jalabdhi)
The request for mercy krpa should always be backed up with declaration and feeling of humility

Nama sankirtana by Satyavrata Muni
There are 6 names being sung in this verse
Deva, Damodara, Ananta, Vishnu, Prabhu and Isha
Namo indicates sarangati by vanquishing ahankaram
Ahankara is of 3 types - Doership, enjoyership and ownership mindset
Expecting honor respect from other living beings due to the above 3 mineness or I ness
Lord is the doer (Naham karta Hari Karta)
Lord is the enjoyer (Bhoktaram)
Lord is the owner of everything (Sarvaloka maheswaram)
Na means hatah, killing and Ma means ahankara, so Nama means without any trace of ahankara
Every mantra has Namah in it
Which means i approach and offer to the diety without the contamination of ahankara
Purification means removal of ahankara contaminants from the consciosuness
The other secondary aspects of ahankara are 'Nispraha' which means desireless ambitionless for matter and "nirmana' menas seeking honor from other living beings. wanting to be respected
Nispraha primarily means giving up the desire for respect, honor, appreciation from others
This is one of the primary unartha unwanted need for respect
Ahankara leads to moha 'illusion' to pursue further in material realm
Both Ahankaara and moha feed each other and create a web of pramaada (intoxication)
As one gives up enjoying the credit of having done anything, one starts experiencing the play of the supreme master in the consciousness
One starts becoming instrument of his grace

Akshi drsyah - the last 2 words in the fourth line is key here - this is the key demand of the composer Sri Satyavrata Muni. To be visible before the carma cakshu with the ointment of premanjana.
Can the Lord appear before the carma cakshu? eyes made up of matter?
It needs the ointment of prema
The ointment of prema can be obtained by a combination of nama sankirtana and Krpa Drshti varsha, which means singing the holy names of Lord and rain of mercy glance of the absolute
