Yenu tappu kalpane?

ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಮಾನಸಿಕ ಒತ್ತಡಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂಲ ಕಾರಣವೇ ಒಂದು ಸರಳ ತಪ್ಪು ಕಲ್ಪನೆ: ಅಶಾಶ್ವತವೂ ಅಪೂರ್ಣವೂ ಆಗಿರುವ ಈ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಿಂದ ನಾವು ನಿರಂತರ ಸುಖ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಥಿರತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸುವುದು. ಯಾರಾದರೂ ನೀರನ್ನು ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿಡಿದು "ಇದು ತೇವವಾಗಿದೆ" ಎಂದು ದೂರಿದರೆ, ನಾವು ಅವರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಕನಿಕರ ಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬದಲಿಗೆ, ತೇವವಾಗಿರುವುದೇ ನೀರಿನ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಲಕ್ಷಣ (ಧರ್ಮ) ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಆದರೂ, ನಾವು ದಿನನಿತ್ಯ ಈ ಭೌತಿಕ ಜಗತ್ತಿನಿಂದ ನಿರಂತರ ಶಾಂತಿಯನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ; ಕೊನೆಗೆ ಅದು ದುಃಖ, ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷಯವನ್ನಷ್ಟೇ ನೀಡಿದಾಗ ಆಘಾತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾಗುತ್ತೇವೆ. ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಈ ವಾಸ್ತವವನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸುವಾಗ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮುಚ್ಚುಮರೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನು ಈ ಜಗತ್ತನ್ನು "ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದು, ಕೆಲವು ಕುಂದುಕೊರತೆಗಳಿವೆ" ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ, ನೈಜ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನೇರವಾದ ವಿಶೇಷಣಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ತೆರೆದಿಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಜಗತ್ತಿನ ಸ್ವರೂಪ: ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆಯ ಎರಡು ಶ್ಲೋಕಗಳು ಭಗವದ್ಗೀತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಕೃಷ್ಣನು ಈ ಲೌಕಿಕ ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದ ನೈಜ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ವಿವರಿಸಲು ಎರಡು ನಿಖರವಾದ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ೧. ಅಧ್ಯಾಯ ೮, ಶ್ಲೋಕ ೧೫ ಮಾಮುಪೇತ್ಯ ಪುನರ್ಜನ್ಮ ದುಃಖಾಲಯಮಶಾಶ್ವತಮ್ । ನಾಪ್ನುವಂತಿ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾನಃ ಸಂಸಿದ್ಧಿಂ ಪರಮಾಂ ಗತಾಃ ॥ ೧೫ ॥ mām [ನನ್ನನ್ನು] upetya [ಪಡೆದು] punar-janma [ಮರುಜನ್ಮವನ್ನ...

Temporary and full of misery

 The fundamental source of human anxiety is a simple miscalibration: we expect permanence and perfect happiness from a world designed to provide neither. When a person tries to scoop up water and complains that it is wet, we don't pity them—we point out that wetness is the intrinsic nature (dharma) of water. Yet, day after day, we plunge into the material world expecting it to yield lasting peace, only to end up shocked when it yields sorrow, change, and decay. Krishna does not minces words when diagnosing this reality. He does not call the world "mostly good with a few flaws." He gives it direct, unvarnished adjectives to recalibrate our expectations.
